resolutions.
resolutions.okay, the first time i'm actually taking new year resolutions seriously >< hehhh.
but whatever - it's better late than never, no? xD
1. >3.7 gpa!
every year from 2005-2007 my gpa's been going up; but last year it stagnated at 3.69. so let's see if i can break that this year!
2. h3 chem!
well ra chem's a stepping stone there; let's hope i can get my h3(:
3. get into a cca (or two) that i really really love. (and that means solving my cca dilemma too.)
dance/chemsoc/writers' guild - unfortunately it's 3C2 at most for me; because ra gets priority. and also because i only have 24 hours a day, and i do like to socialise/hang out/slack/etc, you get the idea.
4. socialise more~! (friends/family alike.)
because i only have two more years with my close friends before we go our separate ways - (hopefully) yiting to digipen; shinyi to medicine; while i run off on my drug research fantasy xD and because it's an almost entirely fresh start - i can actually get an existent social life. if i try. as my mum says, new year means make more friends! riiight?(:
5. go back to nyps some time this year, even though there's the addition of rg to go back to!
this is self-explanatory, don't you think! i love the nanyang days. and who cares if so many of the teachers are gone - as long as there's still one person i know there, i'll still try to go back.
6. help my brothers with their work/etc.
because it's my brother's first year in a new school and he'll need to adapt and all. (speaking of this, i owe zongxian one - he put up with my brother and his endless list of questions about hci and ccas they have until 1am.) and because my xiaodi's in p5 already so that's not much time for him to work for psle, seeing that he tends to need more time to understand things though he's much more hardworking. and definitely because i should be helping them with their stuff anyway, especially this year, cuz next year will be my mugging frenzy and i may not be able to spare the time. but whatever - the goal is to get my xiaodi in hci! or ri, if my mum isn't feeling so loyal towards her alma mater ahaha (she was from hcjc).
7. have absolutely immaculate files!
i actl tried this last year, but as usual somewhere in the middle of the year my resolve fails, or the lack of time to file (thanks to my procrastinating arghh ><) kills me anyway. bahh. so this year i will at least persevere till june. i lasted till april last year. only. zzzt.
8. community service/SL!
because i should be doing it, and because there's nothing like feeling that you've made someone's day.
9. basically just make the best out of jc1!
and hopefully one year later, when i look at these again, i can tell myself what i did right to make all of them come true, to make this year as memorable as i want it to be.
2008's been great; here's to a better 2009! :D
